David has been working in the financial services industry for his whole career. He has been a partner in a financial planning practise based out of Sydney and licensed under AXA Asia Pacific. He then spent 10 years in various roles with fund managers gaining valuable experience across all sectors of the investment markets from direct and listed property, equities and derivatives. David set up and has been a director of Abcott Financial Services for the past 7 years where the business has mainly focused on providing Accounting, Homes Loans and Vehicle and Commercial Finance for their clients. David holds various financial planning and finance broking qualifications along with further studies in accounting and financial management.

David has been an accountant since he graduated from university with an accounting degree. He has worked both within the accounting profession (tax return services, tax preparation) and in commerce in Australia and overseas. With his wife Catherine he purchased a tax agent practice in NSW in 2004, and they sold the practice in 2012 to relocate to the Sunshine Coast. David has 17 years experience in small business accounting and tax agency. He is a registered tax agent, a CPA, and a registered agent with ASIC for corporate matters. David has extensive experience in taxation matters over all areas, including Individual, Partnership, Company, Trust, and Self Managed Su
perannuation Funds; and BAS returns with a detailed knowledge of GST, PAYG, and Instalment compliance.

Anthony is a fully qualified CPA and comes to Abcott Financial Services with over 20 years experience. His career began in North Queensland providing business and taxation advice to individuals and small business. (tax return services, tax preparation) Since that time, Anthony's career has taken him around the world and has involved providing detailed business and taxation advice to entities of all sizes, from mum and dad type small businesses to multinationals including GE Corporate Finance and Polygram Film International.
Anthony's passion for working with small businesses and individuals has brought him to the Sunshine Coast where he can utilise his extensive experience and knowledge for the benefit of the hard working locals. Anthony is experienced in tax matters including Individual, Partnership, Company and Trust as well as detailed knowledge around GST compliance and BAS returns, PAYG and instalment compliance.
